Tacoma Pride® Festival is a free community event, and all ages and people are welcome. Make a day of it — bring a blanket and stay awhile.

Getting Here

Parking

There is no designated parking for Tacoma Pride Festival. Limited street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accessible parking is available at the park, also on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited parking, Rainbow Center highly encourages taking public transportation.

Wright Park is easy to reach from anywhere in Pierce County.

Coming From Tacoma Dome Station

Take the Sound Transit T Line (free) toward St. Joseph and exit at either:

  • Stadium District Station (5-minute walk), or
  • 6th Avenue Station (7-minute walk)

The T Line runs every 12–20 minutes throughout the day.

Coming From Lakewood, University Place, TCC & West Tacoma

Ride Pierce Transit Route 2 to Commerce Street Station, then transfer to the T Line to Wright Park.

Coming From South Hill, Puyallup & Spanaway

Take a Pierce Transit route (including Route 400, Route 1, or the Stream Community Line, depending on where you’re starting) to Commerce Street Station or Tacoma Dome Station, then transfer to the T Line.

Coming From Seattle, Kent, Auburn or Federal Way

Take Sounder or Link/Express service to Tacoma Dome Station, then hop on the free T Line to Wright Park.

What To Bring — Do’s & Don’ts

A little planning goes a long way. Here are the big do’s and don’ts before you head to the park.

Do Bring

  • A blanket or low-sitting travel chairs
  • Snacks & water bottle
  • Layers for weather
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable shoes to walk in
  • Festive gear
  • A smile and joy 🙂

Do Not Bring

  • Large pop-up tents or camping tents (out of respect for other guests, we will ask you to take them down)
  • Grills or cooking stoves
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Outside alcoholic beverages
  • Marijuana or other illicit drugs
  • Defamatory or derogatory items, signs or clothing
  • Hateful attitudes

Accessibility

We are committed to making Tacoma Pride welcoming and accessible for everyone. Here’s what to know before you go:

  • Wright Park is ADA accessible, with paved pathways connecting much of the festival footprint.
  • ADA-accessible portable restrooms will be available throughout the festival.
  • Accessible parking is available in designated on-street spaces surrounding the park on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Service animals are welcome. (Pets are welcome in Wright Park as well, but please keep them leashed and be mindful that the festival can be crowded, noisy, and warm.)

Eat & Drink

Food & Beverage

This is a free event, and we want to keep it accessible, so you are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. However, we do encourage you to try one of our amazing local food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors.

Alcoholic Beverages

We highly discourage bringing outside alcoholic beverages to this event. Located in a public park, we will be following local open container and consumption laws.

Beer Garden 21+ · ID Required

There will be a centrally located Beer Garden for those patrons who are 21+. You must have an ID to be admitted into this space.

This Year’s Beer Garden Will Feature:

  • Sightline to the main stage
  • Limited seating and tables
  • Yard games
  • Beer & cider from Odd Otter
  • Mocktails from Sober AF
  • Batched drinks and shots from HobNob and Manuscript
  • Wine options
  • Food, water, and soda available for purchase, provided by Mickey’s Public House

Please drink responsibly — staff & security have the right to stop serving or ask an individual to leave if they are overly intoxicated or disruptive.

Weather

Tacoma Pride Festival is a rain-or-shine event — please come prepared for unexpected weather conditions of the PNW. We suggest checking the weather and bringing:

  • Warm and cool layers
  • Raincoat
  • Protective footwear

Water

A filtered water station will be provided for your use, so please remember to pack your own refillable containers.

Sensory Area

Located on the 6th Avenue side of the park will be a quiet area yurt provided by Happy Yarvi. This area is meant to be a quiet space for patrons to relax and safely take a break.

We Look Out For Each Other

Safety, Care & Community Policies

Help us keep Tacoma Pride safe, welcoming, and respectful for everyone.

Strict No Weapons Policy

All weapons and firearms (loaded or unloaded), whether concealed or exposed, are strictly prohibited from the festival grounds.

Medical

Tacoma Pride will have emergency medical services provided on-site by private EMS volunteers.

The medical tent will be in the Purple Zone between S 3rd and S 4th Street.

Emergency Exits

Four main emergency exits will be located in the following areas and marked with red stars:

  • By the intersection of S I St & S 3rd St
  • By the intersection of S I St & S 5th St
  • On the corner of S 6th St & S G St
  • On the corner of Division Ave & S G St

Free Speech Zone

Tacoma Pride supports the right to peaceful expression while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.

Demonstrations, protests, and the distribution of materials must take place within the designated Free Speech Zone. Event staff and security will direct individuals or groups outside the designated area to relocate. Those who do not comply may be asked to leave the festival.

Code of Conduct

By entering the Tacoma Pride Festival, all attendees agree to respect fellow guests, volunteers, vendors, performers, and event staff.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or threatening behavior
  • Violence or physical altercations
  • Discrimination or hate speech directed toward others
  • Damage to festival property or park facilities
  • Unauthorized solicitation or distribution outside designated areas
  • Refusal to follow lawful instructions from Event Staff, Security, or Emergency Personnel
  • Any unlawful activity or behavior that creates an unsafe environment

Right To Eject

Tacoma Pride reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual from the festival grounds, without refund or compensation, whose behavior violates festival policies, poses a safety concern, disrupts the event, or fails to comply with directions from event staff or security.

Celebrate The 2026 Tacoma Pride Awards

Kick off Tacoma Pride® weekend with one of the biggest celebrations of the year! The 2026 Tacoma Pride Awards bring the community together on July 10th at Theater on the Square for an evening of joy, recognition, performance, and Pride. Doors open at 4:30pm, hosted by Ryan Mello, with a special performance by Bobbi Jo Blessings.
